Reflective Post

During the course of this class, I have learned more than I probably could have imagined about how to use technology in the classroom. It was definitely a class that I will remember and I will take the knowledge I have gained during the course with me when I become a teacher. This class definitely opened my eyes to how much technology can help in the classroom and also how much technology is changing and evolving. Not only did I enjoy the class, I enjoyed my classmates. Even though it was a small class, every woman in that class was amazing in her own way and they will all go on to be great teachers in the future. I loved working with them when we had group assignments to do, or during the class sessions when we would all participate in classroom activities. It was a pleasure meeting and getting to know all of them. The assignments were fun and interesting as well. It was fun learning how to not only make my own rubric, but make a good one. It was helpful learning how to make a lesson plan because I realized there is more work involved then I thought. It was also nice learning how to make a teacher webpage as well as learning how to create my own wiki pages. All in all, the class was a success. I really have no negative feedback when it comes to the content of the course. I learned what I needed to in order to properly use technology in my future classroom as well as some stuff about technology that I can use for my own personal benefits as well. I learned what was stated in the learning outcomes on the class syllabus. There is no doubt in my mind that I have done this The only thing I would have to say about this course is that I feel it should have been two days a week instead of one. It was tedious being in the class for about three hours every class meeting. If it was done on Tuesdays and Thursdays instead of just on Thursdays, I feel it would have been less tedious since those three hours could have been spread out over the two days. This is definitely a class I would recommend to others who are looking to go into the teaching field. It was enriching and I thank Marie Coleman for being a great professor and enriching me with all her knowledge about technology in the classroom.
